We do indeed live in some very interesting times, but take heart, we are not alone. We are now and have always been connected to the love and wisdom of Spirit. And it is that perfect love that casts out all fear. There is within each of us, all of the guidance we need to navigate these uncharted waters. There is only One Presence and One Power in the universe and in our lives. And it is that, in which we live and move and our being. Remember always that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.
Our Unity Spiritual Centre of Windsor board continues to meet to re-evaluate the situation with the COVID-19 Pandemic, which is moving at a rapid rate. My personal gut feeling is that this will extend through July and possibly longer.
During my time of prayer and meditation I have had some very clear guidance that has brought me a great deal of comfort. We are in some very challenging times, but it is times like these that we have the opportunity for exponential growth. Humanity is evolving and growing in consciousness. For those of us on the spiritual path we each have our own unique part to do. As Jesus pointed out to us, “We are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14)
For me, I am at peace knowing that everything is in Divine Order. For the past few years Unity Churches and Centres as well as many other churches from many different denominations have been in discussion and agreeing that churches are no longer functioning as they used to work, and that we were in need of re-inventing churches that can address our changing times. With the emerging and rapid changes taking place in the world due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we can no longer procrastinate. We have to re-invent church right now and take common sense measures to help slow this Pandemic down.
Unity Spiritual Centre of Windsor has a lot going for it right now. We have an incredible board working very hard for all of us: Donna Voinaroski, President, Lori Nicodemo, V.P., Paul Chandler, Treasurer, Carla Klym, Secretary and Lucy Kroeker and Bob McGuire, Members-at-Large. They love and are devoted to USCW. They are a joy to work with and I am honored to work with them.
One of my main priorities as we entered 2020 was to revamp our Media and Promotions Team and get it up and running at full speed. We have five new members who are all skilled in the use of computers and social media. We have two skilled members continuing to work with the team and Associate Professor, Dr. Ken Hart, of the University of Windsor is serving as the Team Leader. The team continues to work on new ways of doing our services, classes and discussion groups on-line and keep in touch with those who do not have computers.
Please remember, that as long as we are not meeting for services and classes at our Centre, we are also not receiving our regular tithes and love offerings. Your generous donations have supported this ministry from the beginning and are especially important during this time. We are extremely grateful for your support. On our website https://www.unityofwindsor.org/ you can easily click on our Blue Donate button at the top of the page and make a one-time financial gift or set-up a re-occurring monthly donation. Let us be grateful for all that we have going for us as a spiritual community. Every challenge is a blessing and an opportunity to grow in consciousness. This challenge is a big one and the opportunity for growth and transformation is massive. I’ll close with a scripture that has always been a favorite of mine found in Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
